Sana'a: Officials inspect community-led rural road projects in Bani Matar. The Head of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in Sana'a Governorate, Eng. Osama Al-Shami, along with Bani Matar District Director Yahya Al-Qanous, conducted an inspection of several rural road projects implemented through community initiatives.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials assessed the progress of road works and community-led projects in the villages of Jawhar, Asbah, Mahlak, and Al-Dhala'a. The unit has been supporting local efforts by engaging in road paving, grading, and leveling to enhance mobility and facilitate easier access for residents.
During their visit, Al-Shami and Al-Qanous engaged with residents to hear their needs and observations concerning road conditions, ongoing initiatives, and the challenges they encounter. The officials reiterated the local authority's dedication to backing community initiatives, surmounting obstacles, improving road infrastructure, and addressing the service needs of citizens.
They emphasized the necessity of coordination between local communities and relevant authorities to ensure the successful execution of community projects and to improve services throughout the district. The visit also included the participation of Najda Forces Chief of Staff Saleem Tamesh, District Initiatives Director Basel Al-Hulaili, Secretary-General of the Western Sector Association Ahmed Al-Faqih, Chairman of the Bani Matar Cooperative Association Ali Azzi, along with several engineers and specialists.
