Sana'a: Abdulrahman Al-Wajih, Head of the Grievances Redressal Authority branch in Al-Dhale' Governorate, along with Judge Mohammed Al-Mahjari, President of Damt Primary Court, and Ahmed Al-Asbili, Deputy Prosecutor, conducted an inspection of the Central Correctional Facility in Damt District. The visit aimed to assess the conditions of inmates, particularly those who are indigent, and explore solutions for settling their outstanding debts to facilitate their release.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials submitted a list of seven indigent prisoners to the General Zakat Authority. This submission is part of an amnesty initiative led by Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddin Al-Houthi, which coincides with the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi). The initiative aims to release prisoners who are held due to financial obligations to others, thereby addressing their grievances and aiding in their reintegration into society.
