This visit was part of the annual Martyrs' Commemoration 1448 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, the officials conveyed greetings from the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the leadership of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families to the Al-Afiri family. They praised the faith-based positions of martyr Issa Al-Afiri, highlighting his resilience in the face of torture and pressure in the prisons of Saudi enemy's mercenaries, and noted the steadfastness of his brother Harun on the front lines until his martyrdom.

The officials emphasized that the execution of martyr Issa by enemy mercenaries aimed to silence the truth and break the will of free people, but instead, his death invigorated Yemeni zeal and showcased the brutality of the enemy. They also noted that the popular funeral for Issa Al-Afiri in Taiz Governorate demonstrated that the sacrifices of martyrs would not be forgotten.

They further stated that martyrdom is a revered honor, a symbol of dignity, and that the martyrs personified the highest virtues of faith, sacrifice, and steadfastness, having given their lives for Yemen's sovereignty.
