Sana'a: A meeting was held on Saturday in Sana'a, chaired by Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, bringing together members of the Oil and Gas and Minerals Law Drafting Committee to discuss the committee's working mechanism, tasks, and activities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals Mohammed Al-Najjar, Undersecretary Nasser Al-Aji, and Assistant Undersecretary for Mineral Affairs Dr. Yahya Al-Ajam. The discussions focused on reviewing the committee's report and achievements, as well as the challenges it faces and ways to overcome them.
The meeting highlighted the importance of the committee's regular meetings to ensure alignment with global developments in the oil and mineral sector and to benefit from best international practices in this field.
During the meeting, the Minister of Oil emphasized the importance of a legislative framework for Yemen's oil and mineral sector to strengthen its role in supporting the national economy. He stressed the need to expedite the completion of the committee's assigned tasks to help develop the legislative framework for this vital sector.
Committee members, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the continuous support from the ministry's leadership, affirming their commitment to continue working toward the final drafting of the law in a manner that serves the oil and mineral sector.
