Sana'a: Oman's non-oil exports continued their positive performance during the first quarter of 2026, reaching a total value of OMR 1.611 billion.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported on Saturday, citing statistics from the National Centre for Statistics and Information, that the value of re-exports increased by 4.6 percent to reach OMR 367 million, compared to OMR 351 million during the same period in 2025. This reflects the growing trade activity and re-export movement through Omani ports.

Several export sectors recorded notable growth rates, reflecting the increasing competitiveness of Omani products and their enhanced presence in regional and global markets. This aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which aims to diversify national income sources and increase the contribution of non-oil sectors to the economy.

According to statistical data, the chemical industries sector recorded the highest growth rate among export sectors at 17 percent, with exports reaching a value of 216 million Omani rials.

The base metals sector came in second with a growth rate of 10.8 percent, recording exports worth 376 million Omani rials, while exports of live animals and animal products increased by 6 percent to reach 104 million Omani rials.
