Opening of 13th al-Rasoul al-Azam Festival in Sana’a

Sana'a: The 13th edition of the al-Rasoul al-Azam Festival for Artistic and Cultural Creativity opened on Sunday in the capital Sana'a. The festival is organized by the Imam al-Hadi Cultural Foundation.

According to Yemen News Agency, the opening was attended by Finance Minister Abduljabbar Ahmed and Deputy Ministers of Information Dr. Omar al-Bukhaity and Culture and Tourism Abdullah al-Washli. The event featured an artistic performance titled 'Allah's Light,' which depicted the darkness before Islam and the Prophet Muhammad's mission to guide people from darkness to light, transforming idol worship into the worship of the Ever-Living, Sustainer of all.

The performance highlighted lessons and key episodes from the Prophet's life, including the battles of Uhud and the Trench, the conquest of Khaybar, and the conquest of Mecca. The event also showcased performances by Yemeni artists, drama stars, and chanting groups. Excerpts from speeches by Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi were featured, focusing on the Prophet's character, achievements, and success in conveying the divine message.

For 12 years, the festival has provided a platform for artists and creators to express their love and loyalty to the Prophet Muhammad. Its 13th edition features a range of competitions and cultural activities reflecting the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.
