Opening of Bids for Equipment Purchase and Sanitation Project Rehabilitation in Capital Secretariat

Capital secretariat: The Tender Committee of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund in the Capital Secretariat has opened the envelopes for the tender concerning the purchase and supply of equipment and spare parts, alongside the rehabilitation of the central workshop for the sanitation project, with an estimated cost of $800,000.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was chaired by the Fund's Executive Director, Mohammed Sharafuddin, and was attended by key figures including the Fund's Financial Director, Kamal Al-Fadl, Procurement Directors, Fawzi Al-Habishi, and the Legal Director, Riyadh Al-Dubais. The committee has referred the envelopes to the Technical Evaluation Committee, which is tasked with studying and assessing the submitted bids in line with the required terms and criteria.

The Fund Director outlined that the project involves procuring two mechanized garbage trucks, as well as meeting the requirements for rehabilitating the central workshop used for maintaining sanitation equipment and vehicles. The project will also support the Fund's Environmental Awareness Center and the capital's awareness broadcast, with funding provided by the UNDP. The Director expressed appreciation for the organization's support towards the Sanitation and Improvement Fund.

The Director emphasized the leadership of the Capital Secretariat and the Fund's dedication to enhancing performance and improving sanitation services across streets and neighborhoods. The aim is to preserve the aesthetic and environmental quality of the capital by outfitting the sanitation project with necessary machinery, equipment, and sanitation tools, thereby enhancing their operational readiness.
