Sana'a: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance today launched in Sana'a, in coordination with the Wounded Foundation and the Future of Yemen Association, a project to honor and host victims and disabled of the aggression for the year 1447 AH, under the slogan 'Unyielding Determination.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the project's fifth phase targets six thousand wounded and disabled individuals, with a total cost of 150 million Yemeni riyals. This brings the total number of beneficiaries reached by the Authority over the five phases (1443-1447 AH) to 29,504 wounded and disabled, with an overall cost of 709 million riyals.
At the inauguration, attended by Sana'a's Secretary Dr. Hamoud Abbad, the Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, scholar Abdul-Majid al-Houthi, praised the sacrifices, heroism, resilience, and steadfastness of the wounded and disabled in confronting the forces of the U.S.-Saudi-Emirati aggression. He noted that the victims and disabled of the aggression were the first to enter the fields of jihad, sacrificing the most valuable they had for the sake of Allah, under the banner of the Book of Allah and the leadership of the Qur'anic Movement led by Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
He considered the martyrs, wounded, and disabled as the cornerstone of Yemen's liberation from foreign tutelage, US-Zionist dominance, and their allies. Scholar al-Houthi emphasized that the contributions of the wounded and disabled in the fields of honor had tangible results on the ground, with their sacrifices and efforts leading to a major transformation in the Yemeni people's reality, allowing them to enjoy dignity, honor, and prestige. He urged the wounded and disabled to preserve the esteemed status that has made them a crown upon the heads of Yemenis.
For his part, the Deputy Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, Fouad Naji, described honoring the wounded and disabled as the least that could be offered in recognition of their sacrifices, high standing, and noble position, reaffirming loyalty to them. He highlighted the importance of this celebration to draw attention to their sacrifices, emphasizing that the wounded and disabled remain active on the battlefronts, with a continuing role in defending and advancing the country, particularly in the final battle, awaited by believers since the revelation of the Qur'an.
He stressed the need to care for the wounded in appreciation of their sacrifices in defending the nation, its sovereignty, and independence. Meanwhile, Sheikh Ali al-Mutari, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, praised the sacrifices of the wounded and disabled, whose blood and limbs had already paved the way to paradise through ongoing dedication. He highlighted the resilience, patience, and bravery of these 'living martyrs' in confronting the storm of shame and disgrace, stressing the importance of supporting brothers in the Islamic Republic of Iran to prevent them from paying a heavy price due to negligence.
He also commended the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance for its care for this group and everyone involved in preparing for the project launch. At the ceremony, attended by the Authority's deputies and the directors of its offices in the Capital Secretariat and Sana'a Governorate, two speeches were delivered-one on behalf of the Wounded Foundation and Future of Yemen Association by Abdul-Wasee' Majli, and another representing the wounded and disabled by Shahab Jahaf.
Both speeches praised the commitment of the Revolution Leader, the Supreme Political Council, the government, and the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance to care for the wounded and disabled, providing them with the best possible services in recognition of their sacrifices. They also highlighted the role of the wounded and disabled in confronting the aggression across various fronts of honor and their immense sacrifices in defending Yemen's dignity, honor, and independence.
The speeches lauded the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance for its attention to this important group, which has made great sacrifices for the honor and dignity of Yemen, its land, and its people.
