Oratorical Event Held in Dhamar City to Commemorate Al-Wilayah

Dhamar: The residents of Dhamar city district organized an oratorical event on the occasion of Yawm al-Wilayah (Glorious Ghadir Day). The event aimed at reinforcing the community's connection to Islamic values and drawing inspiration from the life of Imam Ali.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Governor of Dhamar, Mohammed Al-Bukhayti, emphasized the importance of commemorating this anniversary as a crucial faith-based milestone. He stated that it serves to strengthen the connection to Islamic values and provides lessons from Imam Ali's biography in justice, courage, and leadership. Al-Bukhayti highlighted the current need for adherence to the Quran and following righteous role models to confront today's challenges.

In his address, Deputy Guidance Official Zakaria Al-Washli described Ghadir Day as a significant religious occasion that marks a pivotal event in the nation's history. He stressed the need for enhancing community awareness of the Quranic concept of guardianship (wilayah) to protect the nation from intellectual and cultural conspiracies. The event also featured a poem and a theatrical sketch, with attendance from executive, academic, security, military, and judicial leaders.
