Over 21,000 Bags of Wheat Distributed to Poor Families in Rada’a

Al-bayda: Over 21,000 bags of wheat have been distributed to poor families in Rada’a by the Office of the General Authority for Zakat in Al-Bayda Governorate. The distribution was launched in partnership with Al-Salahi Limited Company.



According to Yemen News Agency, the Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, stated that this relief campaign aligns with the directives of the Revolution Leader and President of the Supreme Political Council. The initiative aims to provide food baskets to needy families and foster social solidarity within the community.



Governor Idris highlighted that the projects implemented by the Zakat Authority, with the backing of philanthropists, assist thousands of needy individuals. These projects include the distribution of food baskets, provision of Eid clothing, healthcare for patients, economic empowerment programs, and support for indigent prisoners.



He also urged businessmen and wealthy individuals to pay their Zakat promptly to the Authority so that it can be disbursed through legitimate channels.



At the launch event, which was attended by Deputy Governor Saleh Nasser Al-Joufi, Haider Al-Gharib, Director of the General Authority for Zakat Office, noted that the Zakat Authority provided 13,500 bags while Al-Salahi Company contributed 8,000 bags to the targeted families. He encouraged all those obligated to pay Zakat to support the Authority’s efforts in ensuring that Zakat reaches the deserving beneficiaries.
