Sanaa: The Public Prosecution and security agencies in Sa'ada Governorate destroyed today 26,057,823 narcotic capsules of the type "Pregabalin," coinciding with the International Day Against Drug Abuse.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Head of the Appeal Prosecution, Judge Ibrahim Jahiz, explained that this quantity was seized in 564 operations over the past year. The capsules were coming from areas controlled by the aggression forces and were heading to Saudi territories.
Judge Jahiz praised the efforts of security agencies and anti-narcotics units in seizing these substances, affirming the Prosecution's commitment to continuing its role in protecting society.
The destruction process was attended by the Deputy Director of the Health Office, Dr. Khaled Farah, and a number of judicial and security leaders. This follows the destruction of 27 tons, 789 kilograms, and 560 grams of hashish resin by the Public Prosecution and security agencies in Saa just a day earlier.
