Sana'a: On June 29 of various years, numerous civilian casualties and destruction were reported as a result of airstrikes and attacks by US-Saudi-Emirati aggression in Yemen. The tragic events have led to the loss of lives, including women and children, and significant property damage across multiple governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, on June 29, 2015, a series of airstrikes in Marib Governorate resulted in the deaths of 12 family members, including children and women, while others were injured. The strikes destroyed the home of Saleh bin Saleh Al-Salahi in Sirwah District. In Al-Mahwit Governorate, airstrikes claimed the lives of a woman and a child, injuring others and destroying residential houses. The destruction extended to historical buildings and farms in other villages within the governorate.
The following year, on June 29, 2016, mercenaries executed a citizen in Taiz, and various areas were targeted with medium weapons. Airstrikes in Sana'a and Taiz governorates caused further casualties and property damage. In 2017, a citizen was killed by Saudi border guards in Saada, and multiple airstrikes across various governorates resulted in significant damage to farms and properties.
On June 29, 2018, airstrikes targeted Saada Governorate, injuring citizens and damaging infrastructure. Residential areas experienced missile and artillery bombardments, while airstrikes in Al-Hodeida and Lahj governorates continued the trend of destruction. In 2019, artillery shells injured children in Al-Hodeida, and mercenaries targeted UN headquarters and residential neighborhoods with artillery and gunfire.
In 2020, a violent attack by Islah Party militias in Marib Governorate resulted in the deaths of Sheikh Mohsen Saleh Subaiyan and his family. Artillery shelling and airstrikes across multiple governorates caused further casualties and property damage. The aggression continued in 2021, with airstrikes and shelling in Hajjah, Marib, and Al-Hodeida governorates inflicting civilian casualties and damage.
On June 29, 2022, armed reconnaissance aircraft and mercenary attacks in Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, and other governorates resulted in further civilian harm and destruction, with artillery shelling targeting various strategic and residential areas. The relentless aggression over these years has left a deep impact on the Yemeni population, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
