Ibb: The Coordinating Council for Public and Private Universities, Colleges, and Institutes in Ibb governorate held its first meeting of the 1448 AH academic year on Tuesday, chaired by Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili, President of Ibb University. The meeting was attended by Abdulfattah Ghallab, the governorate's mobilization officer, alongside representatives from various educational institutions and the student forum, with a focus on preparations for the new academic year.
According to Yemen News Agency, discussions during the meeting revolved around enhancing the educational and academic process. Key topics included improving performance quality and implementing directives from the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research regarding updates to study plans, curricula, and course content. Participants also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Fourth International Scientific Conference on the Prophet Muhammad, set to be held in Sana'a from 25-27 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448 AH, stressing the need for active participation and contributions of high-quality research.
The governorate's mobilization officer highlighted the critical role of academic institutions in developing scientific expertise and fostering societal awareness. He emphasized the necessity of integration between universities, colleges, and institutes with official and community entities to implement awareness and cultural programs, instill values of faith-based identity, and strengthen national consciousness and students' social responsibility.
Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili, head of the Coordination Council, reiterated the commitment to enhancing coordination among higher education institutions, which is expected to positively impact academic quality and improve both scientific and administrative performance. He noted that the council will continue to monitor the implementation of development plans and activate partnerships to foster a thriving environment for education and research.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous agreement on the importance of unifying efforts among higher education institutions in the governorate to support the educational process and ensure the success of the new academic year.
