Sana'a: Speaker of Parliament Yahya Ali al-Ra'i affirmed on Thursday that the new parliament building project was prepared according to the highest and most modern specifications, studies, and technical designs.
According to Yemen News Agency, during his visit to the new parliament building under construction in the capital Sana'a, accompanied by several members of parliament, Mr. al-Ra'i considered the project one of Yemen's most important national achievements and a dream for moving towards the future.
During the visit, along with the Secretary-General of Parliament, Abdullah al-Qasimi, and the Assistant Secretary-General, Abdulrahman al-Mansour, he praised the progress made in the first phase of the project, given its importance in meeting the current needs of the parliament for buildings and facilities to accommodate its various departments, standing committees, the main hall, and meeting rooms.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives described the parliament building as an achievement that every Yemeni is proud of, noting that efforts are being made to find the necessary support and funding to complete the remaining stages of the project, which will take into account the latest developments of the modern era in terms of modernity and technology befitting the people's representatives who are eager for development and modernization and to keep pace with the digital world, and who bear the honor of representing the nation, and which will form a bridge to complete the building of the modern Yemeni state.
