Sana’a: Parliament speaker Yahya al-Ra’i met with Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah al-Amir to discuss various topics related to the ministry’s efforts to develop and modernize its operations within the oil and gas sectors.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed measures implemented by the ministry as part of the Government of Change and Construction’s program, alongside recommendations issued by the Parliament. The Minister provided an update on the ministry’s recent efforts and actions, detailing the challenges arising from the ongoing aggression and blockade, and presented a vision for revitalizing the sector to support national development.
The Speaker emphasized the importance of the ministry’s adherence to its duties and the execution of its plans in line with the government’s program and parliamentary recommendations. He reiterated the parliament’s support for the ministry’s developmental initiatives, aiming to ensure the stability of fuel supplies, fulfill citizens’ needs, and reinforce the oil and minerals sectors to bolster the country’s economic and developmental resilience. The Speaker also commended the ministry’s continuous efforts to enhance performance and maintain supply stability throughout the capital and provinces.
