Sana'a: The Mufti of Al-Bayda Governorate, Sheikh Hussein Al-Haddar, stated the importance of celebrating the Prophet's birthday to commemorate the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and to learn about his values and morals.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a speech delivered at the annual conference of Yemeni scholars held today in Sana'a, the Mufti explained that the occasion carries profound religious and educational significance, contributing to the emulation of the Prophet's noble life (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). He noted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday aims to draw lessons and inspiration from his life and to introduce future generations to his character and teachings.
Sheikh Al-Haddar also addressed the humanitarian situation facing the Yemeni people, explaining that the Saudi-led blockade, which has been ongoing for years, has led to a deterioration in living and health conditions and exacerbated the suffering of citizens due to shortages of food and medicine. He called for the lifting of the blockade. He questioned the justifications for the siege, saying, "If we see the siege causing us pain and suffering, and killing our sick, we say to America and the infidel nations that claim to protect human rights while being far removed from them, before we even address our Muslim brothers: Is it more fitting to impose the siege on us, who have neither blocked roads nor taken any rights nor violated anyone's honor, or on Israel, which has killed children and women and demolished homes on top of their inhabitants, leaving them exposed to the elements?"
He added, "Is it more fitting to besiege those whom we have considered brothers and friends, when Allah has witnessed their enmity towards us Muslims since the time of the Prophet Muhammad?"
Allamah al-Haddar continued, "We say to our Muslim brothers: We are your brothers in faith, lineage, and homeland, even if you have distanced yourselves from this. If you persist in your current course, we will settle our dispute before Allah, and we know that Allah is the ultimate judge."
He called upon Muslims to return to the Book of Allah and the teachings of His Messenger and to support their brothers who are being killed, displaced, and starved, in accordance with the words of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family): "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim; he does not wrong him, nor does he abandon him, nor does he despise him."
