Sana'a: The Parliament speaker, Yahya al-Ra'i, extended heartfelt congratulations on Friday to the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, the members of the Supreme Political Council, and, through them, all the workers and free people of Yemen on the occasion of International Workers' Day.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Parliament Speaker, on behalf of himself, the Presidium, members of Parliament, and its General Secretariat, conveyed his sincere congratulations and best wishes on this significant day. International Workers' Day is recognized as a day of pride and acknowledgment for the Yemeni workers who have made noteworthy contributions to various sectors of construction and development.
The Speaker praised the industrious workers in factories, the diligent farmers in fields and farms, and all those engaged in construction and production. He emphasized the faith in the will and determination of the Yemeni people and the commitment to provide necessary means and facilities to expand production lines for national industries, particularly in food and medicine sectors, to achieve self-sufficiency.
He highlighted the perseverance of Yemeni workers who have shown unwavering determination and competence amidst the challenges posed by aggression and blockade. These adversities have persisted for over 11 years, yet Yemen has managed to withstand these challenges due to the resilience of its people.
The Parliament Speaker expressed hopes for continued success and a prosperous future for the workers, encouraging them to contribute to the nation's growth and prosperity. He urged workers to intensify their efforts for further achievements in their fields, enhancing development across all sectors and mitigating the effects of aggression and blockade.
He called for a unified effort in production and development to strengthen the economic front against plots targeting the nation, emphasizing the importance of national unity in confronting these challenges. The Speaker hoped for the fulfillment of the nation's aspirations for dignity and honor, praying for security, stability, peace, and prosperity for the Yemeni people.
