Muscat: The Parliament Speaker, Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, has sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to the Chairman of the Omani Shura Council, Khalid Al-Maawali, regarding the victims of the weather condition caused by the Al-Masarrat low-pressure system that impacted Oman.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Speaker extended his sincere condolences and sympathy, both on his own behalf and on behalf of the Presidium, members of the House, and the General Secretariat, to the Chairman and members of the Shura Council, the Omani people, and the families of the victims of the Al-Masarrat low-pressure system. The weather event resulted in deaths, injuries, missing persons, and material losses.
Al-Ra'i affirmed Yemen's solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman, praying to Almighty Allah for the protection of the Omani people. He expressed hopes that the concerned authorities would succeed in locating the missing, that mercy and forgiveness would be bestowed upon the victims, and that the injured would experience a speedy recovery.
