Sana'a: The Parliament Speaker, Yahya Ali al-Ra'i, sent congratulatory messages on the occasion of Eid al-Adha to his counterparts in several Arab and Islamic countries. In these messages, al-Ra'i, representing himself, the Presidium, members of Parliament, and its General Secretariat in Yemen, extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes on this significant religious occasion.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Ra'i expressed his aspirations that the Hajj pilgrimage and its rituals would serve as a source of spiritual purification and a catalyst for solidarity, brotherhood, and peace among the Arab and Islamic nations. He emphasized the importance of unity within the Islamic community and the strengthening of solidarity.
The Parliament Speaker also addressed the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples due to continued Zionist aggression and violations. He urged for immediate action to provide assistance and exert pressure to halt the ongoing violations. Al-Ra'i also called for the protection of holy sites from settler attacks and for efforts to end the suffering of the people of Gaza by allowing sufficient aid to reach the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and other areas.
He concluded by invoking Allah Almighty to bring victory to Yemen and Palestine and to ensure further progress and prosperity for the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations.
