Sanaa: Today, the General Authority for Insurance and Pensions began disbursing the first half of the pension for the month of October 2021 for civilian retirees.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Chairman of the Authority, Ibrahim Al-Haifi, explained that the disbursement process comes within the exceptional temporary mechanism to support the state employees' payroll, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (2) of 1446 AH. This law ensures the regular payment of retirement pensions, with 12 pension disbursement operations carried out annually.
Al-Haifi highlighted that the regularity of the disbursement process is part of the state leadership's and the Authority's efforts to alleviate the challenges faced by retirees and to meet their living needs and requirements. This initiative reflects the commitment to maintain a reliable pension distribution system.
He further elaborated that this step was achieved through intensive efforts and continuous coordination with the Ministers of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development. This coordination aims to ensure the continued regular disbursement of retirement pensions as part of the Change and Construction Government's program, which prioritizes retirees in recognition of their contributions and long service to the nation.
Al-Haifi called on retirees and beneficiaries' agents to visit post offices with their relevant documents to facilitate the receipt of pensions. He expressed gratitude towards the cooperation of relevant authorities, including the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, Hashim Ismail, as well as the staff and employees of the Authority, the Ministries of Civil Service and Finance, the Central Bank, and the Postal Savings Authority, who all contributed to the success of the disbursement process.
