PM and Economy Minister Discuss Legislative Framework Modernization for Economic Sector

Sana'a: Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi met with the Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Engineer Mueen Al-Mahqari, to discuss efforts to modernize the legislative framework for the economic sector in light of emerging changes and developments.

According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Al-Mahqari explained that the modernization and drafting process includes laws related to companies, legal accounting, consumer protection, and commercial relations and agencies. He confirmed that the ministry has completed the modernization projects for all these laws and discussed them with relevant stakeholders.

He highlighted the discussions held with representatives of the private sector in the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, noting that this modernization is an urgent necessity to align laws with the financial reality and ensure compatibility with Investment Law No. (3) of 1446 AH / 2025.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of updating existing laws to keep pace with rapid developments in various vital fields. He praised the significant efforts made by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment to improve and develop all aspects of work in this broad economic sector, including updating laws and automating services, which have become a model for successful operations.

Al-Rahwi noted that developing and enhancing services, as well as simplifying and facilitating procedures for the public, are key priorities of the government of change and construction in its path toward administrative and service development.
