Sanaa: The Yemeni Popular Forces Union affirmed that the September 21 Revolution restored Yemen's sovereignty, independence and the dignity of its citizens, which it said led to the aggression against Yemen by an international coalition led by the Saudi regime in March 2015.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a statement, the union said the anniversary comes as the Yemeni people are engaged in a major battle to end the domination of the Saudi regime and its allies, through the policy of 'blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation,' with the aim of restoring Yemenis' legitimate rights, ending the aggression, blockade, and eliminating foreign tutelage over Yemen.
The union hailed the victories achieved by the Yemeni armed forces on the western coast and other fronts, as well as the leadership's support for regional causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, which it described as one of the major achievements of the September 21 Revolution.
It expressed hope that the national occasion would return next year with Yemen having achieved victory, greater development, and prosperity.
The Popular Forces Union congratulated Supreme Leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the Supreme Political Council, the armed forces, and the Yemeni people on the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.
