President Al-Mashat Affirms Central Interventions Unit’s Role in Supporting September 21 Revolution

Sanaa: Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, affirmed on Sunday that the inception of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit, which has operated deep within rural areas, mountain slopes, and remote regions, stemmed from the very heart of hardship. It was established to serve as the active hand and truthful voice of the September 21 Revolution.

According to Yemen News Agency, this statement was made in a speech delivered on President Al-Mashat's behalf by the Acting Prime Minister, Mohammed Miftah. The address was given at the inaugural conference held today in Sanaa by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit-part of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development-marking four years of achievement and development (1448 AH / 2026 AD). The event coincided with the Yemeni people's celebrations of the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution and the ongoing victories achieved on the fronts of honor and dignity.

He stated, "Eight years after our martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad-may God have mercy upon him-announced the 'A Hand Protects... A Hand Builds' initiative, I was keen to deliver these brief remarks to highlight the significant achievements realized in the service of our dear Yemeni people." He added, "We have deeply felt the suffering of every Yemeni citizen-north and south-who was unable to get emergency care for a relative or loved one due to the lack of roads or the treacherous state of existing ones. We grieve for every citizen deprived of water or forced to endure hardship to obtain it, and for every Yemeni unable to attend school due to the absence of one in their area. We are pained for every citizen suffering from the intense heat in coastal regions."

President Al-Mashat continued, "Words cannot express the anguish we feel when thinking of citizens suffering from a lack of services. As people of rural backgrounds ourselves-having grown up in areas deprived of even the most basic amenities-we understand exactly what it means to lack roads, schools, and health clinics. That is why serving the people and providing them with essential services has been our top priority-ours, the government's, and that of every local official. We took serious, sincere action to implement infrastructure projects in rural, remote, and underserved areas."

He noted, "Despite the US-Saudi aggression-ongoing for over 12 years-and the blockade that is strangling the nation, we believed that truly breaking the siege begins from within: by serving the citizen, building roads, digging wells, and opening schools."

He went on to say, "Born of this conviction and the very heart of that suffering, the 'Central Emergency Intervention Unit' was created. It mobilized deep into rural areas, mountain slopes, and remote regions, serving as the active hand and sincere voice of the September 21st Revolution. In just three years-with God's help and the efforts of honorable people-we accomplished what was once thought impossible." His Excellency the President affirmed that this is the commitment of the Revolution-a path we will pursue with determination and resolve to do our utmost in the service of the Yemeni people. We aim to realize the Yemen of September 21st: a Yemen of justice and public service, of dignity and freedom-a nation where the state exists to serve the people, not the other way around.

He noted that these achievements would not have been possible without the resolve of the steadfast and patient Yemeni people-both at the grassroots and official levels. Each individual, from their respective position, has worked with diligence and dedication to overcome the harsh conditions imposed by the aggression against Yemen over the past decade. All of this has been achieved, first and foremost, by the grace and guidance of God, and subsequently through the directives of the Leader of the Revolution-may God protect him.

President Al-Mashat concluded his address by saying, "We pledge to you, our dear Yemeni people, to remain loyal to you and to work tirelessly in your service. You are the embodiment of patience and steadfastness, of loyalty and sincerity; you are the true wealth of this nation."
