Sanaa: The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic organized a commemorative event marking the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. During the event, Secretary-General of the Presidency Hassan Sharaf al-Din emphasized that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is not only an occasion for joy and festivity, but also a moment for reflection, drawing lessons, and linking the glorious past with the difficult present while envisioning a hopeful future.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sharaf al-Din noted that this occasion comes as the Yemeni people present the greatest lessons to the Arab and Islamic nations in shouldering their humanitarian and religious responsibility by supporting their brothers in Gaza with all possible means in the face of the Zionist entity, the United States, and their allied Western and Arab regimes. He stressed that the immortal legacy of the Prophet offers the greatest example for the nation in confronting the U.S.-Israeli aggression against Gaza, which he described as the beating heart of the nation's central cause.
Sharaf al-Din also highlighted aspects of the Prophet's character, noting that his conduct was shaped by the Qur'an, and that he struggled with his words, heart, and actions, never compromising with falsehood or accepting injustice.
For his part, Head of the Oversight and Legal Affairs Department, Ali Nour al-Din, said that commemorating the Prophet's birth is an honor for the best of creation, the leader of humanity, the Seal of the Prophets, and the mercy sent to the worlds. He pointed out that the Prophet is the best teacher, role model, and example, stressing that the Muslim Ummah needs to return to his guidance and emulate his example in real life-a matter that enemies fear and seek to prevent by detaching Muslims from their Prophet. Nour al-Din added that the Islamic nation is currently experiencing humiliation and weakness due to its distance from the Prophet's path.
Meanwhile, cultural activist Zakaria al-Houthi spoke about key milestones in the life of the Prophet, beginning with his birth, which was celebrated by the heavens and the earth-making it a duty for all to interact with and honor this great occasion. He recalled that Yemeni kings had long inherited in their scriptures the prophecy of the coming of the final Prophet until Sayf ibn Dhi Yazan foretold to the Prophet's grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, that the Prophet of the end times would appear and gave him the glad tidings that this awaited Prophet would be his grandson.
