Al-marawe'ah: The Women's Development and Education Sector in the al-Marawe'ah district of Hodeida governorate organized a cultural event on Sunday to commemorate the annual anniversary of the Martyr of the Quran.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was marked by a speech from the Director of the Women's Development Department, Amirah Meqri. She highlighted the significant historical contribution of the martyr leader in raising public awareness against perceived threats and conspiracies targeting the Arab and Islamic nations. Meqri emphasized women's crucial role in reinforcing faith-based values and building a generation equipped with awareness and insight. She described the commemoration as a spiritual occasion to renew determination and draw lessons from the martyr leader's courage, patience, and vision.
Meqri further noted that the martyr leader's project illuminated the nation's path during its darkest and most challenging times, reinforcing steadfastness and a sense of responsibility in addressing current challenges.
Cultural activist Saeeda Al-Wasabi also addressed the audience, stating that the Quranic project initiated by the martyr leader restored the nation's confidence in its methodology and faith identity. She stressed the importance of following his approach in confronting what she described as forces of arrogance and in upholding the principles and values for which he sacrificed his life.
The event included a variety of activities, such as cultural segments and poetry, reflecting the significance of the occasion.
