Sana'a: President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Sunday sent a cable of condolences on the death of Sheikh Mahdi Ali Samnan, who dedicated his life to serving his country.
According to Yemen News Agency, the cable was addressed to the deceased's sons, Saleh, Faisal, Khalid, Saqr, Laith, and Lu'ay, as well as all members of the Samnan family. His Excellency praised the virtues of the deceased and his contributions to serving his country and community, and to promoting reconciliation.
He also noted the deceased's prominent roles and stances in confronting the American-Saudi aggression against Yemen in recent years.
President al-Mashat expressed his deepest condolences to the sons of the deceased, his family, and all members of the Samnan family on this loss, praying to Almighty God to grant him His mercy, admit him to Paradise, and grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
