Amran: The Martyr President Saleh Al Samad Hospital Authority in Amran governorate organized an event today on the occasion of International Nurses and Midwives Day. During the event, the governor of Amran, Dr. Faisal Jumaan, affirmed that nurses and midwives represent the first line of defense in facing health challenges, praising their sacrifices and efforts in serving the community. He appreciated the positive roles played by nurses in enhancing the healthcare system, stressing that this profession is a fundamental pillar in serving the community and supporting patients. Governor Jumaan called on everyone to realize the magnitude of responsibility placed upon them and to work at a high pace to raise and improve the level of nursing services.
According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the hospital authority, Dr. Abdulghani Faris, pointed out that celebrating this occasion reflects the medical institution's commitment to enhancing the status of nursing and midwifery and developing the capabilities of staff to meet patients' needs. He affirmed that the nursing and midwifery profession is not just a job, but a noble humanitarian mission that deserves all support and attention, and honoring its practitioners is an honor to the values of mercy and giving.
For his part, the Director General of Nursing Management at the authority, Dr. Abdulghani Al Mahalla, reviewed the services provided by the nursing and midwifery departments and the active roles that fall upon nurses in enhancing the healthcare system and providing health services. He pointed out a number of ideas and visions aimed at developing work in the field of nursing and midwifery and benefiting from celebrating International Nurses Day to reach knowledge and guidance to the largest number of practitioners, workers, and those interested in nursing affairs. Al Mahalla stressed the importance of working to improve the optimal image of nursing as the second auxiliary to the medical profession and the key to its success, appreciating the efforts of the head of the authority in supporting and developing this profession.
The event, attended by the governorate security director, Brigadier Nayef Abu Kharshfa, the head of the Appeals Prosecution, Judge Hadi Aida, the director of the General Zakat Authority branch, Mohammed Al Shahrani, the deputy heads of the hospital authority Dr. Hamidan Ali, Dr. Amin Wahish, and Dr. Bariq Al Hayiti, and the deputy director of the health office, Muqbil Duman, included honoring nursing and midwifery staff with certificates of appreciation and honoring the ideal employee at the authority on the occasion of International Workers' Day.
