Sana'a: Football tournaments commemorating the Prophet's birthday have kicked off in several districts of Hajjah Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, in Kushar District, two tournaments have commenced, featuring seven and six teams respectively. In the seven-team tournament, Nujoum Al-Bayada triumphed over Al-Ahli with a decisive 4-1 victory. Meanwhile, in the six-team competition, Al-Shahid Al-Ghamari and Al-Ashbal ended their match with a 2-2 draw.
In Kaidanah District, Al-Qaher showcased their prowess by defeating Al-Wahda 5-2. Meanwhile, in the governorate center, the Gaza team advanced to the semi-finals after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Shabab Tihama. Gaza will now face Al-Hilal Al-Ahmar, while Al-Tahadi is set to meet Al-Shahid Abu Abdal on Wednesday.
Khiran Al-Muharraq also saw competitive play, with Al-Talal Masrouh and Al-Majd Masrouh playing to a goalless draw. The tournaments are part of the ongoing celebrations for the Prophet's birthday, bringing communities together in the spirit of sportsmanship and festivity.
