Public Works and Land Transport Hold Event in Ibb to Celebrate Wilayah Day

Sana'a: The Public Works Sector and the General Authority for Land Transport Affairs branch in Ibb Governorate organized a speech event to commemorate Wilayah Day 1447 AH under the slogan: 'For whomever I am his master, Ali is his master.' The event was attended by Deputy Governor Abdulwahid Al-Maroui.

According to Yemen News Agency, Abdulfatah Ghallab, the governorate's Mobilization Official, highlighted that the commemoration of Wilayah Day reflects the Yemeni people's commitment to the values and principles established by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) during the event of Ghadir Khumm. He emphasized that the occasion serves as a pivotal milestone in affirming the path of divine leadership, which safeguards the nation's dignity, unity, and independent decision-making.

Ghallab further explained that Yemenis draw inspiration from this occasion, reinforcing their steadfastness in confronting challenges and conspiracies targeting the nation and its faith-based identity. He asserted that Wilayah represents a civilizational and ethical project promoting the values of justice, truth, and human dignity. He also noted that the broad public engagement with the occasion reflects a high level of awareness of its significance and its role in strengthening social cohesion and reinforcing the faith identity.

Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, Head of the Public Works Sector in the governorate, remarked that Wilayah Day is an important occasion for recalling the lessons and values embodied by Imam Ali in justice, sincerity, and responsibility. He encouraged participants to draw inspiration from these principles to improve institutional performance and enhance the services provided to citizens.

Director of the governorate branch of the General Authority for Land Transport Affairs, Noman Al-Darwani, described Wilayah Day as an important faith-based occasion that strengthens adherence to the path of truth and divine leadership. He emphasized that commemorating the occasion helps consolidate the values of loyalty, unity, and solidarity within society. Al-Darwani also highlighted the importance of embracing the values of discipline, sincerity, and responsibility, which contribute positively to improving transport services, facilitating the movement of citizens and goods, supporting development and resilience efforts, and enhancing institutional performance across sectors.
