Qafleh adhar: Amran University organized a cultural event on Sunday to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday for the year 1448 AH, coinciding with the opening of the Martyr Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Ghammari College - College of Education, Sciences, and Arts branch - in Al-Sukaibat area of Qafleh Adhar District.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an, Shura Council Member Yahya Ashish, the governorate's mobilization officer Mohammed Al-Husseini, and several directors of executive offices and districts. Governor Juma'an emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday, considering it an opportunity to draw inspiration from values of science and knowledge, elevate humanity, and embody the importance of education as a foundation for building future generations and serving society.
He highlighted the significance of opening the College of Education branch in Al-Skeibat area, aligning with the widespread celebrations in the governorate. Juma'an regarded this opening as a qualitative addition to the educational process, offering students from northern districts the opportunity to enroll in university education across various disciplines, thereby contributing to training specialized personnel and supplying schools with qualified teachers.
Al-Husseini viewed the opening of the college branch as a crucial step, enabling students from the area to pursue educational specializations without needing to travel to the governorate's capital. He emphasized that establishing the branch will contribute to training specialized educational personnel, addressing the shortage of teaching staff, and praised the efforts of Amran University and the governorate's Education Office in implementing this project.
Following the event, Governor Ja'man, accompanied by key officials including the head of the Mobilization Committee, Al-Hasani, and the Rector of Amran University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Dhalai, inaugurated the college branch building. They toured the facilities and classrooms, reviewing the equipment and arrangements made to receive students for the new academic year, commending the quality and efforts made to complete the project.
