Hodeidah: Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, and Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Atifi, visited the former Antiquities and Museums Office building in Hodeidah today, as part of efforts to protect and maintain the governorate's historical and archaeological sites. During the visit, Qahim and Atifi inspected the building's structural condition and the technical and engineering needs required for its protection, rehabilitation, and preservation from the risk of collapse.
According to Yemen News Agency, the visit aimed to address the urgent needs of the building to ensure its structural integrity. The officials emphasized the importance of safeguarding the historical value of the site and discussed strategies for its rehabilitation. The inspection is a step forward in the broader initiative to preserve Hodeidah's cultural heritage.
