Sana'a: The Capital Sana'a's School for Teaching and Memorizing the Holy Quran on Wednesday held a commemorative evening marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, expressing support for and solidarity with the Holy Quran.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance Dr. Fouad Naji emphasized that the school serves as a model in Quranic education and culture. He remarked that gathering around the Holy Quran and the Prophet's family showcases the Quran's blessings, adding that commemorating the Prophet's birthday strengthens attachment to the Quran and emulation of the Prophet.
Dr. Naji addressed insults against the Holy Quran as a grave offense that provokes the feelings of the Quranic community, stressing that such acts do not affect the Quran's sanctity. He stated that honoring the Quran is a stance against attempts to insult Islamic sanctities, noting that students at the school are devoted seekers of knowledge.
He encouraged students to embody the Quran's teachings in their character and actions, urging them to work diligently and use their time wisely. Dr. Naji highlighted that the utmost way to honor the Prophet's birthday is through dedication to the Quran.
General Supervisor of the Higher Academy for Teaching the Holy Quran and its Sciences, Al-Ezzi Rajeh, spoke on the Quran's greatness and the authenticity of the divine message reflected in current events. He noted that the Prophet's teachings continue to affirm the truth, with his greatness evident in his biography and conduct.
Rajeh emphasized that following the Prophet extends beyond celebrating his birthday, requiring inspiration from his values and their implementation. He pointed out that Yemen's way of commemorating the Prophet's birthday is unique, differing from other countries.
The event included speeches that highlighted the greatness of Prophet Muhammad and the principles he established, such as dignity and honor. The speeches also addressed insults against the Quran, attributing them to the Muslim community's weakness, and called for a strong stance in defending Islamic sanctities and honoring the Prophet.
