Sana'a: Several districts in Sana'a governorate witnessed mass rallies and large-scale public sit-ins on Friday, aimed at supporting the armed forces and countering allegations regarding the targeting of Mecca. The gatherings, held under the slogan "Supporting the Armed Forces, the 'Siege for a Siege' Equation, and Exposing the Lie About Targeting Mecca," took place in the districts of Manakhah, Sa'afan, Alhaymah Al-Dakheleyah, and Alhaymah Al-Kharejeyah.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants explained that they were rallying to defend their Islamic identity and reject what they described as the "great slander" propagated by the Saudi enemy against the people of Yemen. They declared their stance against the enemy and those who adopted the falsehood that insults the sanctity of Mecca, affirming their steadfastness in the face of ongoing aggression and blockade.
The participants reiterated their commitment to defending Islamic holy sites, particularly Mecca, Medina, and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and expressed their support for the Palestinian cause. They praised Allah for the victories granted to their homeland and congratulated the Leader of the Revolution and the armed forces on their achievements.
Prayers were offered for the martyrs and the wounded, and the participants emphasized their commitment to Jihad and their refusal to compromise on freedom and dignity. They pledged support for the armed forces in their efforts to break the blockade and lift aggression from the country.
A statement issued by the rallies rejected the accusations of targeting Mecca, condemning those who adopted this claim. It emphasized the Yemeni people's adherence to Islam and their natural right to respond to transgressions. The statement reaffirmed the commitment to defending holy sites and supporting the Palestinian cause, urging others to align with this stance.
The rallies highlighted the distinction between sincere and deceitful parties regarding the protection of the Nation's holy sites and called for glory and honor for those who stand with the Nation's causes.
