Sanaa: The Scientific Department of the Shabab Halif Al-Quran organized a Ramadan evening to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the passing of Imam Al-Hujjah Majd al-Din bin Mohammed al-Mu'ayyadi, coinciding with the Day of Knowledge and Scholars.
According to Yemen News Agency, Akram Al-Darwani, a member of the Yemeni Scholars League, highlighted the revered status of scholars like Allama Al-Hujjah Majd al-Din al-Mu'ayyadi. He emphasized the importance of religious knowledge in connecting individuals to their Creator and noted that the Quran acknowledges the virtue and rank of scholars and learners.
Al-Darwani expressed that scholars have an obligation to convey God's messages sincerely, without alteration. He stressed the necessity of adhering strictly to the Holy Quran, asserting that the true value of scholars lies in their knowledge, piety, and commitment to divine texts, rather than in material wealth or social status.
Allama Yahya Al-Daylami, preacher of Al-Ilmi Mosque, reflected on the life of Majd al-Din al-Mu'ayyadi, describing him as a dedicated scholar who spread Sharia sciences. Al-Daylami lamented that people have increasingly turned away from religion toward worldly concerns, emphasizing the need for Muslims to lead with integrity and knowledge.
He further explained that knowledge should empower individuals to challenge societal ills such as ignorance, injustice, and racism. He called for a sincere return to God and the Holy Book to unify Muslims and face societal challenges.
Ahmed Al-Kahlani, another member of the Yemeni Scholars League, highlighted the significance of commemorating Al-Mu'ayyadi's legacy. He praised Al-Mu'ayyadi's lifelong dedication to knowledge, noting his early scholarly achievements and his commitment to spreading piety even during personal trials.
