Taiz: The branch of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families and the Martyrs Foundation in Taiz province launched a Ramadan food basket distribution project for the families of martyrs and the missing, costing 46 million Yemeni riyals and targeting 1,900 families.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, Acting Governor of Taiz Ahmed al-Masawi emphasized the importance of the project as part of humanitarian and social care for martyrs' families. He explained that food baskets and in-kind assistance will be distributed through representatives across the province's districts to ensure aid reaches the beneficiaries effectively.
Ahmed al-Masawi noted that in-kind food baskets will be distributed in al-Taezeyah and Sala districts, while cash assistance will be provided in more remote districts to ensure broad and accessible support. This approach aims to cater to the varying needs and logistical challenges faced by families in different areas.
Mobilization Official Mohammed al-Khalidi affirmed that the initiative reflects continued attention to martyrs' families, recognizing their sacrifices. He highlighted the significance of maintaining support and appreciation for the families who have endured loss for the sake of the nation.
Director of the Martyrs Foundation branch in Taiz, Ali Al-Junaid, described the project as a humanitarian and moral duty, confirming that assistance worth 46 million riyals will benefit 1,900 families. He reiterated the commitment to supporting these families and ensuring they receive the care and recognition they deserve.
Project Coordinator Faiz al-Mushki stated that the initiative comes in response to religious and ethical responsibility toward martyrs' families, describing it as a message of appreciation for those who sacrificed for the nation. The project aims to provide both material support and moral acknowledgment to these families during the holy month of Ramadan.
