Raymah: The Prophet's birthday Football Championship for the year 1447 AH concluded on Monday in Bilad al-Ta'am district, Bani al-Dhubaybi area, al-Jabin of Raymah governorate. Organized by the district's Youth and Sports Office, under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and with support from the Youth and Children Care Fund, the month-long tournament featured 16 teams.
According to Yemen News Agency, in the final match held at al-Jadajid Sports Stadium, Bani Omar defeated Bani Khawli 3-1 to claim the championship title. At the closing ceremony, attended by the Director of the Governorate's Youth and Sports Office, Mohammed al-Nahti, along with local officials and sports figures, the Bani Omar team was awarded the championship cup and gold medals, while the Bani Khawli team received silver medals. Referees and tournament collaborators were also honored.
Following the final, players and participants staged a solidarity stand with the Palestinian people, condemning the Zionist enemy's crimes against civilians and residential neighborhoods in the capital Sana'a and Jawf province. Participants also denounced the Arab and international silence toward the ongoing crimes of the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza and Yemen. He stressed that such brutal crimes will not deter the Yemeni people from supporting Gaza and the Palestinian cause until the aggression ends and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
