Sana’a: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for the Youth Sector, Abdullah Al-Razihi, who is also a member of the Supreme Committee for Summer Activities and Courses and head of the Technical Committee, along with Supreme Committee member Yahya Al-Mahatori, inspected the weekly Ramadan competitions for students participating in the reading, writing, and Quran recitation program using the “Yemeni Method” textbook, in the Capital Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Razihi and Al-Mahatori listened to a briefing from the program coordinator in the Governorate, Amat Al-Aleem Al-Dailami, about the competitions, in which 37 male and female students are participating, their level of engagement, and the program’s implementation mechanism.
Al-Dailami pointed to the positive results achieved in developing the participants’ reading and writing skills and enhancing their ability to recite the Holy Quran correctly. She explained that the Ramadan competitions are part of a comprehensive plan aimed at solidifying reading and writing skills among primary school students and connecting them early to the Book of Allah through simplified and engaging teaching methods.
Al-Razihi and Al-Mahatori expressed their satisfaction with the level of the competition and the level of engagement they witnessed. They commended the efforts made in implementing the program and emphasized the importance of these high-quality educational programs that target primary school students and focus on teaching the fundamentals of reading and writing according to a sound methodology, contributing to building a solid knowledge base for them.
They noted that these competitions represent an important incentive to strengthen students’ connection to the Holy Quran and develop their reading and writing skills from the earliest stages, which positively impacts their educational journey and contributes to building a conscious and scientifically capable generation.
