Hajjah: The Red Crescent team was crowned champion of the Ramadan Martyrs on the Road to Jerusalem football tournament in Hajjah Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Red Crescent's coronation in the tournament, organized by Al-Nasr Sports and Cultural Club under the supervision of the Governorate's Youth and Sports Office, came after its victory today in the final against the Gaza team with two clean goals. The goals were scored by players Mohammed Mashhour and Ibrahim Sharaf al-Din. The match was officiated by referee Akram Hamid with the assistance of Abdullah Al-Shatir, Nabil Al-Baqa', and fourth official Khaled Al-Shaghdari.
The Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate, Murad Shali, and the Vice President of Al-Nasr Club, Mohammed Al-Kahlani, praised the level of the tournament and the positive competition among the participating teams. They acknowledged the efforts of everyone who contributed to its success.
They stressed the significance of sports tournaments in consolidating the sacrifices of the martyrs on the road to Jerusalem in the hearts of youth and young people. They emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the oppression of the Palestinian people and their central cause, along with highlighting the role of Yemenis, under the leadership of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in supporting and backing the Palestinian resistance, triumphing for Al-Aqsa, and supporting the oppressed.
After the match, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office and the Vice President of Al-Nasr Club honored the champion, the runner-up, and the tournament's top scorer, Martyr Abu Abdil team player Musfar Ruzaiq with nine goals. Additionally, Gaza player Mo'tasim Hameed was recognized as the best player, and Martyr Abu Abdil team goalkeeper Mansour Salem as the best goalkeeper.
Also honored were the youth category champion Al-Rashid team, runner-up Gaza team, the best player, goalkeeper, and tournament top scorer, the volleyball champion Al-Ahli team, the best player, and the organizing, media committees, and supporting entities.
