Accra:Otmah Residents of the Otmah district in Dhamar governorate have declared a state of general mobilization and readiness to confront what they describe as the escalation by the Saudi enemy. This announcement came during an armed tribal rally held on Sunday, where participants also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people.
According to Yemen News Agency, the rally included Governorate Undersecretary Jamal Mu’awadah, local and executive leaders, and prominent social figures. Amin Dhawrah, Secretary-General of the District’s Local Council, highlighted that the rally was part of efforts to respond to the enemy’s escalations. He praised recent victories on the West Coast and the resistance against Saudi troop buildups.
Dhawrah, speaking on behalf of Otmah residents, pledged to honor the sacrifices of martyrs who defended Al-Aqsa Mosque and the homeland. He vowed to continue opposing hostile agendas targeting Yemen until the aggression ends, the blockade is lifted, and the rights of the nation are restored.
Sheikh Issam Al-Samhi, representing the district’s social figures, emphasized the high readiness and preparedness of Otmah tribes to mobilize. He affirmed that the rally was both a declaration of mobilization and a response to the call of the Leader of the Revolution, urging all Yemeni tribes to support the Armed Forces in what he described as a sacred battle to liberate Yemen from Saudi control.
The rally also issued a statement supporting the revolutionary and political leadership and the armed forces in taking measures to deter enemy forces, break troop concentrations, and encourage young men to join training centers. Residents condemned the actions of Saudi-aligned mercenaries and praised the Yemeni Armed Forces for their precise military operations within Saudi territory.
The people of Otmah reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian cause and condemned the Saudi airstrikes on civilian sites. They congratulated the people of liberated districts in Taiz Governorate for gaining independence from Saudi-aligned mercenaries, attributing Yemen’s hardships to the agendas of the Saudi enemy and its allies.
