Hodeidah: The Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bishiri, launched the resumption of production at a previously stalled factory in Hodeidah Governorate, aligning with the ministry's directives to revitalize the industrial sector and stimulate local production.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Minister toured the factory's sections and received detailed explanations on the production workflow, operational and development plans, and the challenges overcome to restart the facility. Al-Bishiri emphasized that this resumption is part of collaborative efforts between the factory management and the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment. This initiative is a component of the ministry's strategy to support stalled factories, aiming to integrate them back into the production cycle, thus contributing to the national economy and generating job opportunities.
He further noted that the ministry is committed to providing necessary facilities and safeguarding local products to ensure continuity and expansion of industrial activity. This is aimed at achieving self-sufficiency and reducing the country's import bill.
