Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted cold to very cold weather conditions in the mountainous highlands over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that the night hours and early mornings will be particularly cold to very cold in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda. Meanwhile, the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, and Abyan are expected to experience generally cold weather.
Citizens residing in or traveling to these mountainous regions have been warned about the effects of the cold weather. The center specifically highlighted the risks for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during the night and early morning hours.
In addition, farmers have been advised to take necessary measures to safeguard their agricultural crops against the cold temperatures.
