Sa’ada: The Chairman of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, Abdulmajid al-Houthi, together with Sa’ada Deputy Governors Mohammed al-Badhani and Saleh Aqab, inaugurated the second phase of the comprehensive endowments survey, mapping, and digital registry projects. These initiatives aim to activate revenue sources and manage endowment assets, as implemented by the Authority’s office in the Sa’ada province.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, the Authority Chairman highlighted Sa’ada’s leading role in endowment initiatives and underscored the importance of preserving endowment funds while sharing rewards with donors. He emphasized that converting Waqf records into a digital map allows contributors to partake in the spiritual rewards associated with donations and expressed optimism for completing the digital Waqf map for Sa’ada.
Deputy Governor Saleh Aqab addressed past losses and misappropriations of Waqf funds, describing the new projects as a significant step forward. He pledged that the local authority would fully support the endowments office in its efforts to safeguard endowment assets.
Mohammed Jahaf, the Authority’s Deputy for Assets, reviewed achievements since the Authority’s establishment and outlined future plans to digitize and protect endowment properties.
Meanwhile, Sa’ada Endowments Office Director Lutf al-Awawi explained that the second phase involves creating a digital infrastructure that provides a three-dimensional overview of all Waqf properties, enabling precise administrative and investment decisions.
Al-Awawi concluded by emphasizing that safeguarding and developing endowment assets is a collective responsibility that requires coordination among all institutions and society at large.
