Review of Developmental Projects at Veterinary Agricultural Institute in Sanaa

Sanaa: The Head of the Social Affairs Committee - Deputy Head of the Developmental Team in the Capital Secretariat, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, and the Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat, Mazen Nu'man, today reviewed a number of developmental projects currently being implemented at the Veterinary Agricultural Institute in Shu'ub District.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Naqeeb and Nu'man, along with Assistant Deputy Secretary Sami Sharaf al-Din, the Executive Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit at the Secretariat, Abdullah Sharaf al-Din, his deputy Samir Hamza, and the Institute Director Hussein Al-Adheeb, inspected the level of implementation of projects in the field of economic empowerment funded by the Agricultural Unit.

They reviewed the project of purchasing 14 cows to increase milk production, the project of breeding and distributing local chickens to targeted families, the rehabilitation of livestock shelters for breeding and multiplication, the establishment and rehabilitation of agricultural reserves at the Veterinary Institute, as well as the sections of food processing and the milking parlor along with their requirements, and the mechanism for implementing their rehabilitation project.

The Head of the Social Affairs Committee explained that these projects come within the economic empowerment programs implemented by the Capital Secretariat through the Agricultural Projects Financing Unit, contributing to achieving sustainable development leading to self-sufficiency.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of the Unit pointed out that the visit is part of the ongoing follow-up on the implementation of rehabilitation and development projects at the Veterinary Agricultural Institute, and the plant and animal production sections funded by the Unit.
