Saada Cleanliness Fund Board Evaluates Resource Strengthening and Service Enhancement

Saada: The Board of Directors of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Saada province convened on Thursday to deliberate on crucial topics concerning the enhancement of the fund's performance, resource strengthening, and the advancement of cleanliness and municipal services. The meeting was presided over by Governor Mohammed Awad.

According to Yemen News Agency, the board focused on the formation of a dedicated team to draft the fund's 2027 program and performance budget. In addition, mechanisms for the collection of outstanding revenues were discussed, highlighting the existing gap between assessed and actual revenues. The procedures for allocating fuel to all fund vehicles and equipment were also on the agenda.

The board meticulously reviewed a matrix of observations provided by the Central Organization for Control and Auditing branch. Discussions extended to the identification of suitable waste disposal sites in the Sahar and Al-Safra districts, aiming to streamline sanitation operations and ensure effective waste management.

Further developments from the meeting included the approval for the establishment of a committee tasked with locating missing assets and another committee dedicated to evaluating and preparing worn-out equipment for sale, with the goal of utilizing the proceeds effectively.

Governor Awad emphasized the necessity of addressing the observations and bolstering the fund's financial resources, which are crucial for the sustainability of cleanliness and improvement activities. He commended the fund's performance and its proactive fieldwork, underscoring the importance of enhancing services for the citizens of Saada.
