Sa’ada Governor and Roads Sector Deputy Inspect Road Projects in Province

Sa'ada: Sa'ada Governor Mohammed Awad and Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works for the Roads Sector, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi, conducted an inspection of ongoing road projects, including the first phase of the Southern Ring Road-Gharaz project.

According to Yemen News Agency, the officials, along with Deputy Governor for Public Works Ibrahim Al-Nimri, reviewed the project's progress and received briefings from engineers regarding the components and level of completion achieved in the first phase. They also assessed the paving project for the Bani Awair Al-Sharqi road, a five-kilometer stretch costing 500 million riyals, funded by the Road Maintenance Fund, local authorities, and community contributions.

In addition to these inspections, the officials examined the roads leading to the Republican Hospital Authority and the Faculty of Medicine at Sa'ada University. They observed traffic congestion and discussed plans for future road projects to enhance access to these vital institutions.

During their visit, a memorandum was signed between the local authority and the Road Maintenance Fund to implement several road projects in the provincial center, with a total cost of 605 million riyals, funded by both the fund and local authorities. Governor Awad commended the Ministry of Transport and Public Works for its dedication to improving infrastructure, emphasizing the need for more road projects to alleviate the difficulties faced by citizens in the province.
