Sa’ada Launches Food Basket Distribution for Martyrs’ Families

Sa'ada:The Sa'ada branch of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families has initiated a project to distribute food baskets and symbolic gifts to 15,000 families of martyrs and missing persons throughout the governorate's districts. This initiative is part of the 1448 AH annual commemoration of Martyr's Day.

According to Yemen News Agency, the launch event was attended by notable figures including Governor Mohammed Awad, Ahmed Jaran, head of the Foundation for the Care of Martyrs' Families, and Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim. During the event, Minister Qahim emphasized that the distribution of food baskets reflects the care and attention provided to these families, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the martyrs in defense of the homeland.

Governor Mohammed Awad praised the martyrs' sacrifices and the resilience of their families, stating that the blood of the martyrs would lead to victory and challenge the powers of the arrogant. He highlighted the importance of the food basket project, especially given the challenging circumstances in the country, and called for coordinated efforts to support these families.

Abdullah Al-Kastban, director of the Sa'ada branch of the General Authority, announced that the distribution would cover all districts in the governorate. He pointed out that this year, the food baskets will be made exclusively with locally produced flour, marking a departure from previous years when imported flour was used.
