Sa'ada: Munabeh Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Society was officially launched on Tuesday in Sa'ada governorate under the supervision and support of local authorities and the Mobilization Unit, in coordination with the Executive Unit for Financing Agricultural Projects and Initiatives, the Agriculture Sector, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union, with support from the Bunyan Foundation and sponsorship from the Governorate's Social Affairs and Labor Office.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the founding meeting, attended by Sultan Rashid and Jaber al-Doushi, participants approved the cooperative's draft bylaws and elected its administrative board as well as its oversight and inspection committee. The meeting reviewed the cooperative's role in mobilizing the capabilities and resources of residents of Munabeh district, developing local resources through sustainable development plans, and advancing initiatives that support local producers and contribute to achieving food security in the district.
Participants emphasized the importance of cooperative work in strengthening agricultural production, improving livelihoods, and creating development opportunities that benefit local communities. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Sultan al-Sabri, Khalil Al-Marani, along with a number of executive office officials, association coordinators, and representatives of local institutions from across the governorate and district.
The establishment of the cooperative is intended to enhance community participation in agricultural and development activities while supporting efforts to improve food security and promote local economic development in Munabeh district.
