Sa'ada: The Sa'ada Republican General Hospital Authority, in collaboration with the Military Medical Services Center, organized an event on Wednesday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) under the slogan "Never Shall We Submit to Humiliation."
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by notable figures such as Shura Council member Hadi al-Hamzi, Deputy Governor Majid Muqit, and several members of the Executive Office. Dr. Kamal al-Houthi, Deputy Head of the Hospital Authority for Medical Affairs, highlighted that the commemoration of Ashura serves as a yearly reminder of the values of truth and justice for which Imam Hussein sacrificed his life. He urged adherence to Imam Hussein's principles as a means to confront the challenges facing the Islamic nation.
Mohammed Ardoum, in his address, underlined the importance of commemorating Imam Hussein's martyrdom as a source of inspiration for values such as courage and sacrifice. He linked the current sacrifices made by the Yemeni people in their battle for "the promised victory and holy jihad" to Imam Hussein's historic revolution against injustice and oppression.
Youssef al-Shami, speaking on behalf of the military medical services, further explained that commemorating Ashura is a means to honor Imam Hussein's sacrifices and to revive the spirit of jihad, which he emphasized is essential for achieving the promised victory.
