Sa’ada: The Tenders Committee of Sa’ada governorate held a meeting on Saturday, chaired by Governor Mohammed Awadh, to discuss a number of reports and requests related to ongoing and planned projects in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the session was attended by the Secretary-General of the local council, Mohammed Al-Imad. The committee reviewed a report from the Public Works Office on supporting the Central Emergency Intervention Unit of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development to purchase equipment for the governorate, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
The committee also examined the technical, financial, and legal evaluation report of bids submitted for the procurement of medicines for the governorate’s health facilities.
Additionally, requests concerning emergency work for the historic house of citizen Abdullah Al-Dhu, threatened with collapse, estimated at 110 million rials, were discussed. The approval of 50 million rials to reinforce other endangered historic homes in Old Saada City was also addressed.
The meeting further reviewed a request from the General Authority for Rural Water Projects regarding the approval of costs for a water project study in the Walabah area of Al-Dhahir District, in accordance with prepared assessments.
