Sana'a: A meeting chaired by Undersecretary of the Municipalities and Environment Sector Mohammed al-Habari reviewed the tasks and challenges facing the Environmental Health Department in Sana'a Governorate. The session focused on improving inspection mechanisms and enhancing coordination among directorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting emphasized the need to strengthen control over expired food and hygiene violations in restaurants, bakeries, and drinking water stations. It also called for updating the database of food establishments and improving oversight to ensure public health safety.
Legal Affairs was tasked with reviewing and aligning environmental health regulations with current field conditions and legal standards. Officials praised inspectors' efforts and urged continued vigilance, highlighting the governorate's commitment to providing necessary resources for effective environmental health work.
